ANTI-RACISM RESOURCES
|
For over 200 years, Presbyterians have been responding to the call of Jesus Christ, taking the gospel into all the world and bearing witness to Christ’s saving love to the ends of the earth. Today the Holy Spirit is still on the move, calling us to share in what God is doing in the world. As your partner in Christ’s service, the Presbyterian Mission Agency is faithfully working to inspire, equip and connect all Presbyterians to do Christ’s mission, as they nurture and shape disciples and serve Christ in the world. The Louisville Seminary Anti-racism Digital Library serves as a clearinghouse for information resources about people, groups, and projects who are building inclusive and caring communities. Anti-racism can be defined as some form of focused and sustained action, which includes inter-cultural, inter-faith, multi-lingual and inter-abled (i.e. differently abled) communities with the intent to change a system or an institutional policy, practice, or procedure which has racist effects. We at The Thoughtful Christian stand in solidarity with the protesters who are crying out for justice—for George Floyd, for Breonna Taylor, for Ahmaud Arbery, and for all the victims of the insidious racism that has infected our society for far too long. Additionally, we believe that in order to fully support people of color, white individuals must educate themselves, have conversations with each other, and figure out how they can work to create a more just society. Below are resources intended to begin anti-racism work either individually or with your church community. Click here to access their list of resources.
The Upper Room is committed to a ministry that is increasingly global, antiracist, and ecumenical. In these days we are called to give special and focused attention to being antiracist. This is the work of discipleship and spiritual formation. Click here to access Upper Room resources for the spiritual work of overcoming racism.

Practical Resources for Churches (PRC) has been helping churches for almost three decades, but the way they do that has changed over the years. The heart of PRC has always been the consultants who work with those in churches planning programs, retreats, and studies, as well as assisting those involved in other areas of ministry.
PRC is an ecumenical resource center and already has connections with many denominations. Click here to access their list of social justice on-line resources. |
