Description
The Christian Child
Center of Wekiva
Presbyterian Church is
looking for a new preschool
director CCC is a
wonderful traditional
preschool program (9:00-1:30
with some options for early
drop-off and/or stay and
play until 3:30 p.m.) for
kids from 9 months-5 years,
1-5 days a week (with 5 VPK
classes). It has been an
extension of our CE ministry
for 28 years in this
community. We serve
more than 150 families and
have a wonderful (well
deserved) reputation.
We are in process of
developing the application,
refining the job description
and setting the salary range
and then will begin the
search process actively.
This is a part-time position
(about 30 hours a week, 11
months a year) with no
health insurance benefits
but its a great job working
with great people. Ideally,
we will find someone with a
Directors Credential
because DCF only gives us 6
months to have a director
with that. Were also
looking for someone with an
active church membership
(any Christian church!) as
this is truly a program of
the church and our director
needs to be active in a
church.

is a ministry to our
families and their youth.
The focus on the youth will
be on those who are middle
school, high school and
college. This person will
work closely with another
pastor who works with
younger children so that
there is a well-coordinated
ministry for all ages. We
are looking for a person who
has a passion for Christ, is
well versed in the Bible,
familiar with Presbyterian
theology and polity, is
creative and enthusiastic,
able to lead Bible studies,
capable of training
volunteers and enjoys
leading recreation and fun
activities. Confirmation,
camps, retreats, weekly
youth events, special
worship events, recreational
activities and outings are
all part of our youth
program and will need direct
involvement with the
Director of Youth and Family
Ministries. The emphasis is

1. Choir Director to have abilities and training adequate for the position
with an understanding and
agreement with the theology
and polity of the
Presbyterian Church USA with
a sensitivity and concern
for individuals and the
church and with the strength
of leadership to carry out
the program as the pastor or
session may direct.
2. Select appropriate music, direct Chancel Choir in worship
service and rehearsal and
work in tandem with

music supplies.

5. Lead special music in worship services ( Easter, Christmas)
6. Attend staff meetings (Tuesday mornings) and worship committee

each month).

8. Select music and direct children in Sunday School singing during
regular school year- first
15 minutes of Sunday School
hour.
