Director of Music
Oakland Presbyterian Church is seeking a Director of Music to direct its adult choir, which sings during the traditional 11am Sunday service. The director will also oversee and coordinate with the organist/pianist and other musicians involved with the children’s choir, brass and string ensembles, and bell choir.
A degree in music or working toward a music degree and a background in church attendance is expected. Port Orange Presbyterian Church is seeking a person with a sound spiritual and prayer life to join our worship team. This person will be in charge of leading our praise band during our strong and growing contemporary worship service and must be someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about the rich variety of contemporary Christian music.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for: selecting music that connects with the scripture, theme and message; developing visuals for projection; helping to recruit additional instrumentalists and vocalists; and leading rehearsals and sharing their musical gifts during our 9:45 am Sunday Worship Service.
