A “Too Little” Life
I found myself constantly having too little. I have too little patience, wisdom, insight, understanding ... Not to mention all the rest of which I have too little. There's never enough time and too many things to do. Or too many questions, problems, and crises’ and too few answers and solutions to all of these. In addition, in this time with high inflation, there is too little money and too many bills to pay. I have discovered the first solution for this "too little " condition is to know that the only one that has too much is the Lord! There is always an abundance of grace, life, forgiveness, love, and compassion in his heavenly storage rooms. Paul writes in Ephesians chapter 2 that God is rich in mercy, and in His love for us. He has such an abundance of saving grace for us, that His grace stays effective even beyond our death into eternity. If we fully understand this abundance of God’s love and commitment to us our “too little” world will start to shrink before the magnitude of all we receive from Him. The second solution for this constant " too little " feeling, is to be generous. To share the love, grace, patience, and kindness that God so mercifully bless us with. This sharing of what God has given us is not just a virtue, it is part of the ABCs of what faith is. To look so much further than only the demands of your own needs but also to see and address the “too little” in the lives of others around you. In total abundance He gives. Take it. Live it. Share it. Your life will be full. Ferdi Brits Presbytery Moderator
