Executive Presbyter Search Team Update
By Patricia Zinn, Committee Secretary
Your EP Search team has met continuously for nearly six months, interviewing, researching, consulting, and praying to gain the knowledge and perspective to hear God’s and CFP’s needs for our next leader.
We are now creating and polishing our responses to the five narrative questions asked by the Mission Information Form (MIF) to present a creative, attention-getting picture of our presbytery and the leader we are seeking. We expect to complete this phase in a week or two, then finalize our MIF. Once the MIF is completed and affirmed by the Council, we will submit our info to the PC(U.S.A) Church Leadership Connection (CLC) system, and they will begin the process of matching our MIFs to the PIFs of candidates searching for a mid-council position.
Our new Synod Executive, Valerie Young, is attending most of our meetings, and we have been blessed by her participation and guidance.
Again we ask for your prayers for our discernment of God’s guidance as we search in the belief that we are looking for that person God is already preparing to be our next Executive Presbyter.
Respectfully Submitted,
Pat Zinn, EP Search Secretary
