Cuba Partnership Update
by Ken Lasseter, Cuba Partnership Network

The news we get from our friends in Cuba is not good. The shortages of food, safe drinking water, fuel and electricity are getting worse. On the February trip, it was seen in one church that the cook was cooking the lunch time soup on a wood burning grill in the church patio. Sometimes they can get electricity, sometimes they can get propane, sometimes neither.
These are Christians that practice their faith by helping others. Many of the churches continue to offer free meals when they can get the food. They offer other services, such as laundry, when they have soap.
Thanks to your donations last year for food, the Cuba Partnership Team made 5 shipments of food to each of the 12 Presbyterian churches in El Centro. This food was used to help feed church members and the community.
The CPT has begun planning for the 2026 trip. The date has not been set yet, but it will be in late February or early March. Mark your calendar now and begin now making plans to visit these fellow Christians who practice their faith under much different circumstances then we do.
The Cuba Partnership Team asks that you keep the churches in El Centro, our Presbytery’s only global partner, in your Mission budgets. The funds we take to them on our annual trips are crucial to the wellbeing of the churches and the people. Keep them in your prayers.
The Cuba Partnershilp Team thanks you for your past support of this mission.
