CFP REFORMATION GRANTS
To Support Congregational Initiatives
for Vitality and Transformation

The funding for CFP Reformation Grants comes from the capital legacy of congregations in our presbytery which have completed their ministry cycle and have either closed or merged with another congregation. They have asked that we leverage the proceeds from the sale of property to support new sustainable initiatives that seek to build on the historic traditions of our faith, while embracing new ideas and opportunities for Christian witness.
We understand that there are several distinct reasons why congregations will seek to engage in a process of revitalization. These reasons include:
  1. healthy congregations desiring for adjustments or redirection,
  2. struggling congregations yearning to become revitalized for life and ministry,
  3. congregations in the midst of neighborhood demographic changes needing to discern how to best minister to the changing needs of the community.
  4. And congregations that the presbytery suggests might benefit from participation.
Complete the application below and email it to Associate Executive Presbyter Cheryl Carson.

It's Time to
Engage in a L.E.A.P.
Initiative

The focus of the L.E.A.P. Initiative is to gather the congregation to discuss the church’s history, values, and community ministries, and to discern God’s vision for the church’s future, identifying:
  • Who we are
  • Who God is calling us to be, and
  • Next steps to move into God’s call to

What:   An interactive time of discovery, led by a team from the Presbytery. The team will provide leadership for all youth and adult gatherings and for the elementary-aged children’s activities.

When:  Two days of the church’s choosing

Where:  Your church facilities

Who:  Your whole congregation is invited to participate, including children and youth

Email Cheryl Carson for more information or to scheduled your L.E.A.P. Initiative.
